ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drafts and designs for power generation projects. This includes cabinet layout, engineering I/O documentation, control logic, elementary drawings, wiring diagram and physical layouts. May require occasional overtime or week-end work to meet drawing deadlines. Will assist with variety of tasks as required.
Communicate effectively with individuals from varied experiences, perspectives and backgrounds.

Must maintain consistent and regular attendance.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR THE JOB:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk. (May have the option of a standing desk.)
Ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day.
Read from a computer screen several hours a day.
A technical degree (Associates or Bachelor) or a high school diploma plus at least two years of drafting experience.
Knowledge of electrical design and experience preparing electrical design documentation.
Highly detail oriented
Understands computers and networking fundamentals
Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD (2012 or newer), Adobe Suite, and MS Suite.
Demonstrated proficiency with:
o Making blocks either regular or dynamic.
o Importing images and Excel files into AutoCAD.
o Scaling objects
o Scaling Viewports
o Model space vs. Paper space
o Sheet Set Manager
Ability to produce drawings from rough sketches, notes, and vendor drawings.
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Ability to organize and meet deadlines.
Excellent math, written and oral communication skills.
Works effectively in a team environment.
Experience with power generation projects strongly preferred.
May occasionally be required to perform on-site walk-down or site audit to ensure drawing accuracy
Assists with other tasks as required.
Possess a positive, can-do attitude.
Knowledge with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, SketchUp or comparable 3D software a plus.
