The Blue Ribbon Office in Placerville is currently assisting a local title company with their search for an Escrow Assistant. Candidates must have previous relevant experience working in an Escrow Assistant role.

Job Description

Definition: Neutral disinterested third party utilized in the closing process of sale or loan escrows. One who takes instructions from all parties and when they are able to conform them with one another to record and disperse funds.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Duties - Daily:

Check voice mail/email forwarding & relaying messages appropriately
Answer phones
Maintain tidy appearance of work area
Perform in the capacity of a Notary Public
Greet customers & provide customer service
Order demands, fire insurance policies
Filing
Prepare & distribute final closing statements & checks


Duties - Monthly:

Prepare files for storage

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a business office environment. Some travel to other Inter County Title offices, company events and educational/training events is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent
Two years recent escrow assistant\escrow officer experience
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook
Able to meet minimum typing speed requirement: 45 WPM
Ability to successfully pass the pre-employment drug, DMV, credit & background investigation process
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer
Knowledge of the title & escrow industry desired


CERTIFICATES REQUIRED

Notary Public certification (certified at the time of hire or obtained within time period established by the company) (optional unless otherwise stated by the company)
